SERVING
At Mosaic, we believe everyone has something valuable to bring—and serving is one of the most life-giving ways to live out your God-given gifts. It’s not just about helping with the church’s practical rhythm, but about finding purpose and a sense of belonging within the body of Christ. As each person steps into their gifting, we become stronger and better equipped to fulfil our mission together. Whether it’s something simple and practical or more involved, every act of service builds the kingdom and contributes to the life of our community. Romans 12 reminds us that we’re uniquely gifted and designed to complement one another, so no matter where you start, there’s always room to grow and serve. At Mosaic, we encourage you to discover your place, take a step, and trust that God will use your gifting to show his way is better.
GIVING
Generosity is not only an act of kindness and compassion towards others; it is also a profound form of praise and worship to God. In the context of supporting the Church it is powerful When we choose to be generous with our resources, whether it be our time, talents, or finances, we acknowledge that everything we have comes from God's abundant provision. By extending a helping hand, sharing our blessings, and meeting the needs of others, we reflect God's heart of love and generosity.
As it says in 2 Corinthians 9:11, "You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God."
Our generosity becomes a tangible expression of gratitude and thanksgiving to our Heavenly Father, who has blessed us abundantly.
We think being generous at Mosaic Community church is more that just money.
However giving financially is important to us as it helps us have a place to meet, and provides a place for community activities to take place, it supports people to be released to serve in regard to what God is doing amongst us, it enables us to give generously to those who are in need across our Whānau and support others outside of our church Whānau who are in need.
In our context being generous financially to Mosaic Community Church is an expression of God's grace at work within us. It is not motivated by obligation or compulsion, but rather by a heart overflowing with gratitude, love and faith in what we are doing.
